“Siguro kapag may offer sa akin na pang best dramatic ano siguro,” says Patricia
‘90s sexy actress Patricia Javier has truly become a doting wife to chiropractor Dr. Rob Walcher and mom to their two kids.
It was in 2003 when Patricia left her blooming career in show business to settle down with Rob. She returned in 2015 and was able to make a short acting comeback in two shows: ABS-CBN’s “Doble Kara” and GMA-7’s “Haplos.”
After these shows, Patricia slowed down again, now focusing on assisting Rob in their wellness clinics.
While acting has taken a back seat, Patricia says there is one condition that can still make her go back to acting, she tells FreebieMNL and other reporters in a media conference.
She said, “Siguro kapag may offer sa akin na pang best dramatic ano siguro, na talagang…
“Kasi yun lang yata yung wala pa ako, yung nakakuha ako ng award for my acting.”
Admittedly, Patricia does not have time to do projects since she is busy with their wellness clinics.
She continued, “Siguro ngayon, I’m just trying to take advantage itong ginagawa namin ni Doc Rob ngayon kasi mas kailangan ako talaga dito.
“But once na maayos na yung set up, I’d really love to go back.”
FreebieMNL and other reporters spoke to Patricia and Rob during the media conference for the 10th anniversary of their wellness clinic.
A reporter then reminded Rob with headlines back in 2003 saying that he stole Patricia away from showbiz.
He nodded, “Yeah, I remember in tabloids, ‘The doctor took Patricia Javier…’”
Patricia then said, “No regrets! See what we have now.”
Rob added, “Yeah, two boys, and now we’re here. I gave her back. She left her career and that’s a really big deal so that’s another reason why I owe it to her to come back so she can be with her family some more.”
But actually, Rob has known how to get the hang of showbiz as he has also done acting projects in the past!
He shared, “I’ve done a couple of TV appearances and movie appearances. Aga Muhlach and Bea Alonzo, I was in a movie with them, and then Vilma Santos.
“I’ve done things in the past but now, I’m so busy, it’s very hard to do that but I’m always open, sometimes I can’t do it because it’s so time-consuming.”
Patricia says of her husband’s acting, “He’s very natural sa acting, pwede siya!
“Very supportive [ako]. I just don’t know if there’s a kissing scene, parang hindi ko alam paano ako magre-react nun.”

Showbiz for their kids
Patricia and Rob have two kids: Ryan James and Robert.
Both have been participating in fashion shows, with the recent being in the Thailand Fashion Week.
With this, is Patricia open to letting her kids join showbiz?
She said affirmingly, “Oo naman, nakikitaan ko naman, I’m trying to expose actually pero it depends on them kung magustuhan nila pero not really sobrang push.
“Kung gusto lang nila. Parang kami, as parents, we just like to hide them.”
But if they decide to pursue showbiz, Patricia has some reminders for their kids.
“Yung pakikisama nila sa katrabaho sa mga tao sa set, gusto ko yung mga anak ko na maalala sila na kaano nila dahil mabait sila sa kapwa tao nila, hindi yung porket nagkapangalan sila, ang dating nila para silang mga anak ng… hindi sila marunong maki-ayon.
“So, ang payo ko lagi sa mga anak ko, always be kind.”
This is also something that was instilled in Patricia during her heydays in showbiz.
“Siguro rin sa akin din, sabi nila, so far, wala naman akong naririnig kasi yung mom ko, naka-guide siya sa akin noong nagsho-showbiz ako.
“So, lahat ng ginagawa ko no’n, parang parating kung ano yung inaano sa akin ng nanay ko, advice, and my mom is really a very kind person. So, ngayon, feeling ko katulad ngayon, yung mga press nandito, may mga friends tayo. Siguro naman wala tayong nagawang hindi maganda kaya mas madali sila imbitahin.”
Advantage of chiropractic care
Meanwhile, Patricia has experienced the advantage of chiropractic care, especially as an actress going through late nights in tapings.
She shared, “Kasi parang layman’s term lang, if your body is aligned, everything flows in the right direction.
“So, kaming mga nasa showbiz, lagi kaming puyat, hindi normal yung way of living namin sa health namin. So, napakalakaing bagay ng chiropractic na pag ina-align ni Doc, masakit ang leeg ko or meron akong headache, parang magic siya.
“Right away, I don’t need to take medicine, chiropractic is my medicine, it’s the natural way.”
Their wellness clinics are open to everyone who needs chiropractic care.
As for Doc Rob, they curate the treatments based on the patient’s needs.
He explained, “Because of the age and severity of the condition, it depends on what you want to achieve. If the person comes in and they have back pain and they just want to get rid of back pain and they are 30 years old, getting rid of back pain is quite easy.
“Maybe from one to eight sessions, maybe four, maybe six, so that’s the difference in sessions. The more you do it, the more we change the spinal health.
So, if we do it long-term, we can actually change posture, so people who have scoliosis or people hunching, if they want to change that, it takes more sessions to do that.
“But if you wanna just get rid of back pain, we can do that a few sessions, but that doesn’t mean you’re never gonna have back pain again, because what causes back pain is stress, life, gravity’s on you.
“Everything is stress, so that’s when pain comes back, back pain, headaches, so again, if you just want back pain, few sessions. But if you wanted to stay away, once a month.”
Doc Rob then added, “The benefits are so good, but medyo mahal. But it’s so good for you.”
