Another Avenger is getting his own spinoff series on Disney Plus — “Hawkeye,” starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld, just unwrapped its first trailer, and suffice to say we’re bound for many surprises this Christmas season.
The fresh trailer takes a look back at all the enemies that Clint Barton encountered when he became a vengeful vigilante known as Ronin between the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Set during the Christmas season, a renewed Barton now tracks down the person posing as his Ronin persona, only to learn that the face behind the mask is 22-year-old Kate Bishop, a self-confessed “best archer in the world” and the protégé-of-sorts to whom Barton passes down the Hawkeye mantle.
Trained in the art of the arrow, the two team up to take down Barton’s old foes as the family man tries to make it back in time for Christmas festivities.

Joining Renner and Steinfeld are Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and — surprise! — Florence Pugh, who reprises her role as Yelena Belova from Black Widow. The Disney Plus series is directed by Rhys Thomas based on the script by Jonathan Igla.
“Hawkeye” arrives at the streaming platform on November 24.
