Fans of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again star Lily James and Captain America: Winter Soldier anti-hero Sebastian Stan can expect to see the two side-by-side in the upcoming Hulu limited series Pam & Tommy. James and Stan will play real-life ex-couple Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, respectively.
The first photos have been released and fans are gawking at the incredible transformation. They show an unrecognizable James in thick makeup, with bleach blonde hair and a skin-tight black leather outfit.
Stan, on the other hand, channeled his inner rocker with fake tattoos, a goatee, and layered chains.
He posted a picture on Instagram, captioned with a quote from Tommy Lee: “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.”
Similarly, James also posted a photo promoting the show with a quote from Pamela Anderson: “It’s great to be blonde. With low expectations, it’s very easy to surprise people.”
The eight-episode series will revolve around the infamous sex tape of Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and Playboy model Pamela Anderson. At the time, the tape was the first of its kind, coming before other well-known celebrity scandals that involved the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
Lee and Anderson were married from 1995 to 1998 and maintained an on-again-off-again relationship since their divorce. They share two sons together.
Also included in the series are Seth Rogen, Nick Offerman, Taylor Schilling, Andrew Dice Clay, Pepi Sonuga, Spenser Granese and Mozhan Marnò. Craig Gillespie, who previously worked with Stan on the biopic I, Tonya, will direct.
Comedian Rogen is set to play Rand Gauthier, the man who stole the sex tape from the couple and sold it to the media.
It is reported that neither of the show’s real-life counterparts, Tommy and Pamela, are involved. A release date is yet to be announced.
