Netflix drops trailer for BLACKPINK: LIGHT UP THE SKY

Following the massive success of BLACKPINK’s first album ‘THE ALBUM’, Netflix has just dropped the trailer for BLACKPINK: LIGHT UP THE SKY, a documentary on Korea’s biggest girl group. This just might be one of the most anticipated films to come out of Netflix this year. For every blink, this documentary is a dream come true. And for those curious about what all the hype is about, this documentary is a great way of understanding the success behind the name BLACKPINK.

The film follows the lives of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé from their trainee years, auditioning at YG, performing in Coachella, to becoming the biggest name in the Korean music scene, as well as the world. We get a glimpse of their struggles and the hard work put into becoming the group they are today.

The Netflix documentary is directed by Caroline Suh (‘Heat, Acid, Salt, Fat’), produced by Cara Mones (Rolling Stones: Stories from the Edge) and executive produced by Jon Kamen, David Sirulnick and Zara Duffy at RadicalMedia.

BLACKPINK: LIGHT UP THE SKY premieres next week, October 14 on Netflix.
