Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards is a new mother!
The 28-year-old gave birth to a little one over the weekend, sharing an Instagram post to commemorate the event. “Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21,” she wrote under a black and white photo of the infant.
Her boyfriend, Liverpool soccer player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, also shared the joyful moment to his followers with a post that featured the same photo, along with another photo of the pair holding on the infant’s foot. His caption read, “Welcome to the world little one. 21/08/21.”
The couple has yet to reveal the baby’s name or gender.
Edwards announced her pregnancy back in May, posting pictures of her growing baby bump. “So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate,” she captioned the photos. “Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!”
The news came shortly after fellow Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock revealed that she was also expecting with fiancé Andre Gray.
In the past months, Edwards has posted a few pictures of her pregnancy journey. “Growinggg,” she wrote under a bikini picture of herself.
“Words cannot describe how I’m feeling on the inside…I could quite literally burst with joy,” she also said under her maternity shoot photos.
Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain began dating in 2016, after Edwards’ notable split from One Direction’s Zayn Malik. Edwards and Malik were engaged before the latter broke it off.
