The Legend of Korra is finally coming to Netflix this December!

You’ve probably streamed Avatar: The Last Airbender a hundred times while on home quarantine, so this should come as a piece of good news to you: The Legend of Korra is landing on Netflix on December 15!

And it’s been a long time coming too — it was last July that Netflix US announced that they have picked up the hit animated series and was set to premiere on the streaming platform in August, leaving all of us non-US folks feeling a bit envious. Not anymore.

The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after Aang’s death in the previous series and follows the adventures of the new Avatar, Korra, an ironically hot-headed Water Tribe girl who gets ready to fulfill her role as the world’s savior. The story is spread across four books and 52 episodes, all of which we can binge just in time during the holiday break.

Now, if we can just get the original creators of the series Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko to come back to Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, that would be cool too.
