ABS-CBN Bids Goodbye To “The Voice” Franchise After 10 Seasons

The entire production of “The Voice of the Philippines” gave one final bow!

ABS-CBN’s reality singing competition “The Voice of the Philippines” has finally come to a close after more than a solid decade of showcasing world-class Filipino acts from all ages

The grand finale of “The Voice Teens Philippines” on Sunday, May, 19, 2024 saw a victorious win from Team Bamboo’s Jillian Pamat. However, more than the celebratory spirit felt, the studio was filled with sentimental feelings after hosts, Bianca Gonzalez and Robi Domingo, announced the show’s departure.

Offering fond words for all the people behind the production, Bianca says, ”Kami ang nakita niyo on camera, pero napakarami po who worked off cam.

Sa lahat ng bumubuo ng music, creatives, production, technical, all the other departments, kami’y lubos na nagpapasalamat sa inyo. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for one final bow.”

She says, “Isang karangalan ding tumapak sa stage na ito at sa lahat ng naging hosts at V reporters, maraming-maraming salamat. Luis Manzano, Toni Gonzaga, Alex Gonzaga, Yeng Constantino, Kim Chiu, as well as all the hosts of the online show.”

Robi, on the other hand, cannot not help but have his eyes welled up with tears, as he extends his gratitude to all the coaches who became part of the singing competition.

He says, “Sa ngalan po ng ABS-CBN at sa lahat ng bumubuo sa ‘The Voice of the Philippines,’ sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng sampung edisyong ito and we would love to say thank you to our coaches, APL.DE.AP, Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, Sharon Cuneta, Martin Nievera, KZ [Tandingan], and Bamboo.”

Lastly, Robi sheds the spotlight on the individuals who have dedicated time to participate in all of the seasons of “The Voice PH.”

Lastly, Bianca leaves a resonating promise that, “Whatever happens we will continue to let your voices be heard.”

ABS-CBN’s “The Voice of the Philippines” over the years

ABS-CBN’s franchise started in 2013, just two years after the United States franchise was introduced in 2011. So far, ABS-CBN has completed a total of two regular seasons, three teen editions, and five in the kids category.

Some of the renowned winners from “The Voice PH” of all editions are Mitoy Yonting, Jason Dy, Lyca Gairanod, and Elha Nympha.

More so, several contestants have also made their way well and good into the industry, including Moira Dela Torre, Juan Karlos, Darren Espanto, Kyle Echarri, Jeremy Glinoga, Klarisse De Guzman, and Morissette.

In 2023, GMA-7 also acquired its own franchise of “The Voice” to do its “The Voice Generations” edition. Late last year, it was also announced that the Kapuso network will be doing a Kids version, similar to ABS-CBN’s.

Dingdong Dantes serves as the host of GMA-7’s “The Voice” with Julie Anne San Jose, Billy Crawford, Chito Miranda, and Stell Ajero of SB19 as judges.
