David reveals that he’s unwell during the photo-taking incident
David Licauco explains his side after an X (formerly Twitter) account bashed him for a seemingly unenergized encounter with fans who were eagerly asking for a photo.
While high is expected of them, celebrities do get tired—and this is evidently manifested in a circulating video wherein David is relatively unenthusiastic in accommodating his fans.
The video shows that the fans were lining up for a quick photo opportunity, but David looks lethargic and is in a hurry to get inside the car, away from the crowd.
With such a dampened demeanor, David then drew the attention of one netizen—who called him out for his lack of energy. The post reads, “Singit yarn? Galing umacting? May blockbuster? Bwak bwak bwak.”
In defense against the critic, Davis responds straightforwardly, “May sakit ako niyan beh tapos 1am na yan hehe sorry po [smiling emoji] [praying hands emoji] bawi ako next time ha [teary-eyed emoji] [kiss emoji] [laughing emoji]”
May sakit ako niyan beh tapos 1am na yan hehe sorry po ???? bawi ako next time ha ???

David is seemingly on a roll for explanation, as he responds for yet another hurtful comment regarding the video.
A separate account has uploaded the said clip, and one user comments, “Sana talaga mag Flop yang movie mo @davidlicauco.”
Dismissing it very lightly, David responds with, “Hahaha grabe ka naman beh baka naman maka help ka mag promote.”

David headlines the new barkada movie, “G! LU,” together with Ruru Madrid, Derrick Monasterio, Kiko Estrada, Teejay Marquez, and Enzo Pineda. The film finally comes to theaters five years after its initial schedule.
Netizens take David Licauco under their defense
As a number of netizens have pointed out David’s unwelcome and reserved attitude, an inaccurately equal measure of fans have flocked to the thread to defend the 29-year-old actor.
One X user highlights the unnecessary need to offer an apology, saying “They invaded your personal space and kinunan nila ang time mo na dapat nagpapahinga ka na. Rest Well! Sana gumaling ka na!”
Another fan commends David’s accountability, while also emphasizing that fans are not entitled to any actor’s time.
Ang mahalaga, nagexplain naman at nag sorry si David, which means he owned and take responsibility for what happened.

Pero tandaan din natin as fans, na ilagay naman kasi yung pagpapicture. Lets still be responsible fans.

No need to say sorry, david. We actually saw you rin sa molito last week pero we didn’t even invade ur personal space. Sana sa ibang fans dyan wag naman sumosobra kasi di naman tayo entitled para pansin or kausapin nila lagi.
