BarDa, RuCa, JulieVer Bring Kilig To Pinoys In Canada Winter With Sparkle Tour

David, Rayver, and Ruru played Trip to Jerusalem with the crowd!

Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s most prized love teams and couples have brought in a warm, fuzzy feeling abroad—making winter a bit more special with all sorts of performances and kilig via Sparkle Goes To Canada. 

The well-received first show of Sparkle Goes To Canada on April 5, 2024 is a fun spectacle in itself—with Barbie Forteza and David Licauco (BarDa), Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali (RuCa), and Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz (JulieVer) putting together a warming entertainment for all. 

“Maging Sino Ka Man” leads Barbie and David, known together as BarDa, have ramped up the sweetness onstage as they perform a song number—retro style. 

In one of the clips from the audience, Barbie has expressed how caring David was—a testament of their chemistry that precedes the boundaries of screen. 

Julie Anne and Rayver, on the other hand, have energized the crowd with their energetic moves and dance steps. Just as much,  Rayver has made the crowd go wild after sharing in one of his performances that, “Pangarap ko lang si Julie noon, ngayon girlfriend ko na.” 

Ruru and Bianca, for their part, have given a heartfelt rendition of “Tagpuan” by Moira Dela Torre. Shortly after the number, they exchanged a hug—sending Boobay, the host, and the rest of the viewers to cheer. 

Aside from the paired performances of these love teams, the audience was treated to a separate performance from David, Ruru, and Rayver. The ladies, of course, have also had their own number—as they had fun onstage wearing ultra-feminine pink ensembles. 

Aside from staged performances, the event has also seen many one-for-the-books moment, including a video clip wherein David, Ruru, and Rayver were just candidly playing and bantering onstage.

Also part of the event was audience participation—wherein select attendees were pulled out from the crowd to join the game Trip to Jerusalem with the boys. 

Helmed by the legendary starmaker Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan, Sparkle Goes To Canada is a collaborative effort of Sparkle GMA Artist Center, GMA Pinoy TV, and Berce Entertainment.

It is a back-to-back live performance slated on April 5, 2024 at Southview Alliance Church, Calgary and on April 7, 2024 at Toronto Pavilion.
