Sofia Pablo Shares Her Resolution As She Enters Womanhood

Sofia promises to be more mature and lady-like in her upcoming projects!

Sparkle artist Sofia Pablo has entered adulthood, and part of this monumental milestone is a self-promise to get rid of the pabebe image that people usually associate her with.

The debutante was graceful when she faced the press during a media conference on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

During the intimate gathering, Sofia has talked about the life lessons she learned in her 18 years of existence, some of her aspirations, and just what it feels to be a full-grown woman.

When FreebieMNL asked about the resolution she has in mind upon entering legal age, Sofia has this to say: “Siguro, resolution ko po pag 18 ko is mabago ko po yung tingin ng tao sa akin na pabebe.

“I mean, not everyone says it pero, usually when I have bashers, it’s what they say that…I don’t, hindi ko po talaga siya mini-mean.

“Like, I really don’t mean to look like that way na pabebe, it’s just that, yung mga nagagawa kong project [is just typecast as such] and I think that’s why they look at me that way.”

Going into womanhood, Sofia pledges, “Pero now I’m 18, gusto kong baguhin yun na, ‘Guys! I’m not pabebe. It’s just my words.’” Yun po yung resolution ko talaga, gusto kong mabago yung tingin na, mature na, ladylike na talaga.”

Sofia kickstarted her career when she appeared in the GMA-7 drama series “Tadhana” in 2017, followed by “Prima Donnas” in 2019, and “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms” in 2023.

Sofia Pablo on respect and humility

Sofia has been in the entertainment industry for quite a while now, and her acting experience carries an encompassing lesson she learned from all the veteran actors and actresses she worked with in the past.

Sofia reveals, “Yung biggest lesson na natutunan ko from all of the veteran actors I’ve worked [with], like lahat po sila, they have different [pieces of] advice pero meron talagang isang advice na lahat sila laging sinasabi—that’s always to respect your co-actors and always keep your feet on the ground.

Sofia recalls having to be told, “Sofia, tandaan mo, always respect your co-actors kasi ang daming magaling umarte pero hindi lahat magaling makisama.

She continues, “Parang they believe na mas mahalaga yung attitude mo more than your talent. Kasi yung talent, nakukuha yun, e, but yung ugali, yun na talaga yun. So I always tell [myself] na ‘Stay who you are and wag ka magbabago, and always respect everyone.’”
