One of Dennis and Jennylyn’s main challenges as working parents is finding time for family amid their hectic schedules.

In a recent interview with PEP, Dennis shared that they are finding ways around that as a family.

So, every other day yung [salitan namin].

Given the difficulty that they were facing, Dennis actually revealed that, at one point, the Kapuso actress mulled on taking a break from showbiz.

Dahil kasi nga [mahirap] talaga mag-hands on. Sabi ko, ‘Pag-isipan nating maigi iyan,'” he recalled.

She eventually decided against it thinking that they would have to prepare for their kids’ future.

Dennis and parenthood

Thankfully though, the couple is getting good help from their kids Calix and Alex Jazz, who according to Dennis are very protective older brothers to Dylan.

Alex Jazz is Jennylyn’s 15-year-old son from her previous relationship with Patrick Garcia while Calix is his 15-year-old son with former girlfriend Carlene Aguilar.

Maalaga sila pareho.

Having a sister is not only new for their kids because as it turns out, having a daughter is also a first for Dennis. Such is the reason why he strives to become very hands-on with Dylan.

“Never ako naging ganun dun sa una kong anak. Kaya ngayon, talagang ini-enjoy ko bawat oras, bawat araw. Meron ako [time] para samahan siya [Dylan], alagaan. At i-enjoy ‘yung paglaki niya. Panibagong experience,” he ended.
