“Sobrang nagma-matter talaga kung paano mo tratuhin yung mga tao sa paligid mo”
Star Magic actress Francine Diaz believes that “Fractured” is not just like any other project with the takeaways and lessons to gain from watching the show.
The iWant series, which ends its run on November 3, tells the story of eight social media influencers who were trapped on an island.
The recent episodes reveal that all of it was part of a plan to seek revenge for the death of a girl named Claire after they bashed her and ruined her reputation on social media because of an incident.
During a recent viewing party for the press and influencers, FreebieMNL asked Francine about her thoughts and learnings from the situation that was presented in “Fractured.”
In the scene, Claire had an outburst in a restaurant after seeing something off from her meal. She then started shouting at the waiter for everyone to see. Some patrons of the restaurant took a video and posted it on social media, with some social media influencers in the story bashing her for clout.
For Francine, it matters how a person treats somebody, especially in a world where every action is subject to judgment because of social media.
She shares, “Nakita naman natin kung ano yung ginawa ni Claire sa video, I would say na sobrang nagma-matter talaga kung paano mo tratuhin yung mga tao sa paligid mo kasi nakakahawa siya. Yung ugali mo sa isang tao, magre-reflect yan.
“Ako, ito lang naman po ang take ko sa ginawa ni Claire, may pagkakamali yung waiter pero mali rin na ganun yung naging reaction niya. And then vinideohan, since ayun naman na yung nagyayari sa mundo natin ngayon and naging violent tuloy yung reaction ng mga tao.”
What would Francine do if she was put in Claire’s position in real life?
She says, “If I were in her position, siguro, mas magiging soft na lang yung atake ko sa pagkakamali kasi ang hirap nang ipakita yung totoong nararamdaman mo lalo na ngayon sa mundo natin. Siyempre, with social media na ang bilis mahusgahan ang mga tao.”
Francine also emphasizes how wrong it was for the social media influencers in the story to judge Claire by just seeing what she did in one video clip that went viral.
“Mali rin ng mga tao sa social media yun, yung mga reaction nila kasi di nila alam yung totoong kwento behind that video.
“So, ako lang, sobrang nagma-matter ang kindness. So kahit na gaano—yun nga yung sinasabi nila parati—kahit gaano ka kapagod, kahit gaano kalaki yung problemang pinagdadaanan mo ngayon, choose to be kind always kasi yun na lang yung nagpapatakbo sa mundo natin ngayon.
“Sobrang sama na ng nangyayari, so, ayun maging isa ka sa mga taong nagpapalaganap ng kabutihan.”
Aside from Francine, the lead stars of “Fractured” who portray the social media influencers trapped on an island are Seth Fedelin, Raven Rigor, Sean Tristan, Daniela Stranner, Kaori Oinuma, and Jeremiah Lisbo.

Lessons from her character
Meanwhile, Francine’s character was revealed to be an accomplice of the characters played by Mylene Dizon and Jennica Garcia, who trapped the influencers on the island.
In the recent episodes, she started helping the influencers to make up for what her family did to them.
What are the things she learned from doing Sally?
“Siguro magagandang bagay. Kasi medyo masama na yung ginawa niya, e.
“So, i-expect nila na isang example din si Sally na lahat ng tao ay deserve ng second chance.”
Overall, Francine is happy that more than the kilig that her love team with Seth Fedelin has brought to their fans, the show also highlighted their acting abilities in the show.
“Para po sa akin, itong ‘Fractured,’ hindi siya talaga nag-focus sa kilig lang, nag-focus siya sa kanya-kanyang kakayahan namin sa pag-arte at kung paano namin i-deliver yung mga characters namin.”
“Fractured” drops its finale episode at 8 p.m. on iWant TFC and iWant TFC’s YouTube channel.
