Gabbi to Khalil: “You continue to amaze me with your incredible talent!”
Gabbi Garcia is one proud girlfriend to Khalil Ramos after watching his stellar performance on the opening weekend of “Tick, Tick… Boom!”
The Kapuso actress made sure not to miss seeing Khalil as the lead character Jon, a role he shares with Jef Flores who originated the character during the original 2016 run.
“You continue to amaze me with your incredible talent, hard work passion, and sincerity, Bub! I’M SO SO PROUD OF YOU,” Gabbi wrote in the caption of her Instagram post on August 6, 2023.
“I knew that you could do it since day 1, but somehow you still left me in awe!!!! (In tears also, I was bawling my heart out!!!!),” she added.

Still overwhelmed with Khalil’s brimming talent, Gabbi added that she continues learning new things about him and his love for acting. She emphasized that it’s not just because of their nearly seven-year relationship but out of high respect.
“I’ll never get tired of telling you how you still inspire me every single day. I love you bub and Congratulations!!!!! You deserve the world,” Gabbi ended.
“Tick, Tick… BOOM!” is the 2001 semi-autobiographical musical of the late playwright Jonathan Larson, also known for creating the award-winning and seminal musical “Rent.” It follows the struggles of an aspiring composer concerned that a future in the performing arts may not be for him.
Khalil’s theatrical debut
In the comments section, Khalil responded with utter gratitude saying “I love you my love. Thank you for being by my side through it all.”
Recall that Khalil was both ecstatic and anxious about his theatrical debut in part due to the seasoned actors that he would be working with.
Among Khalil’s co-stars were Tanya Manalang and Reb Atadero as Susan and Michael, while Kayla Rivera and Vien King were their alternates.
9 Works Theatrical’s restaging of “Tick, Tick… BOOM!” will be at the RCBC Plaza’s Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium during all the weekends of August.
