“With the glory comes the punches,” says Heart on the issue
Heart Evangelista has finally offered her piece regarding the recent controversy with now estranged glam team Justine Louise Soriano and Jeck Aguilar.

In an exclusive “24 Oras” interview aired on Monday, August 14, the 38-year-old actress left a relatively neutral reaction—one that did not concretely disclose the reason behind their parting.
“Life is like that. Madami tayong pagdadaanan with our careers, with our personal life,” Heart says when asked for her reaction over the matter.
“But everything’s for a reason, and everything is for us to be stronger so we can face anything else in life. So I am very happy,” she adds.
It is Heart’s discretion to put the issue behind and never talk about it anymore. More so, she reveals that husband, Sen. Chiz Escudero, remains her anchor amid the controversies.
“My husband will always tell me, with the glory comes the punches.
“You can’t have a perfect life. And nobody’s perfect. So everything’s made for a reason to make us better people and stronger.”
Justin Louise Soriano On Heart Evangelista Issue
The issue first made waves in July 2023, when observant fans and netizens noticed that Jeck, the hairstylist, and Justin, the makeup artist, opted out from Heart and teamed up instead for Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos for GMA Gala Night.
Heart’s look for President Bongbong Marcos’ State Of The Nation Address was also curated by a different glam team.
Following such, netizens also noticed Heart’s lack of social media updates with the two—an unusual change since Heart used to be so closely knitted with them even in or out of the country.
Then came the issue involving Heart’s credit card, which according to rumors, was used by Jeck and Justin without Heart’s consent.
Such is in line with Heart’s viral video on TikTok, which fueled further speculation that the two might have really maxed out Heart’s credit card.
Justin, on the other hand, belied the allegation with a few replies through his Instagram account. According to the hairstylist, they “never ever used her credit card. Why would [they] use it? [They] have their own brain.”
More so, Justin was insistent that the only person who maxed out the credit card is Heart herself.
Justin also clarified that their sudden indifference has “nothing to do with money matters,” as he begged for netizens to stop “making issues” and just let the controversy die down on its own.
Even before Jeck and Justin’s parting, other members of Heart’s glam ensemble Kat Cruz and fashion designer Mark Bumgarner were also reported to have initially withdrawn from the actress’ core team.
