She clarified that her views on the topic are for those coming from long-term relationships
Kylie Verzosa firmly believes that staying friends with an ex-boyfriend isn’t a good idea.
During a YouTube interview with entertainment insider Ogie Diaz on April 8, Kylie shared her views on relationships and breakups, particularly on the idea of maintaining a friendship with an ex.
“I don’t believe exes should be friends,” Kylie stated. “Respeto rin sa bago mong partner at sa bago niyang partner.”
“You can be civil, pero ‘yung nakikipag-usap ka ng, ‘Hi, how are you? How are you?’ To me, medyo weird ‘yun,” she shared.
“You don’t have any bad feelings towards each other, but I don’t think there should still be a friendship. Kasi bakit pa?”
Kylie further backed her statement up, saying she’s coming from her experiences with long-term relationships. She also clarified that it’s okay to be friends with a short-term relationship ex.
“Iba kasi sa akin ‘yung matagal. Matagal ‘yung relationship. If it’s a quick relationship, sure, you can be friends. Why not? But if it’s a long and committed relationship, and about the future, then no,” she said.
Kylie’s Past Relationship With Jake Cuenca
When asked about her past relationship, Kylie said that her past relationship with actor Jake Cuenca wasn’t bad nor traumatic. “Feeling ko na kailangan namin both pagdaanan,” the actress said. “Happy ako where I am now, and I’m so happy where he is now.”
Jake confirmed his separation from Kylie in April 2022, marking the end of their three-year relationship.

On November 2023, Kylie confirmed that she’s in a private relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend. On the other hand, Jake is currently dating Chie Filomeno, who he before considered his “TOTGA.”
