Disney’s “The Aristocats” Is Getting A Live-Action Adaptation

After Disney’s “Lady and the Tramp” got its live-action remake in 2019, the 1970 animated film “The Aristocats” is next in line! According to Deadline, the movie is currently in its “early development with [Disney’s] live-action team.”

“The Aristocats” follows the story of four cats who live luxuriously in Paris thanks to their owner, the wealthy Madame Adelaide Bonfamille. However, their lives are put in danger when Edgar, Madame Adelaide’s butler, hears that he will only get to inherit her fortune when the cats are gone.

Keith Bunin, who wrote the screenplay for the 2013 comedy horror film “Horns,” will be writing the script for the live-action adaptation alongside “Peter Rabbit” director Will Gluck. Through Olive Bridge Entertainment, Gluck will also serve as a producer.
