Legendary Progressive bands Dream Theatre and Mr. Big are coming to Manila
Two progressive rock staples are set to become the next Manila concert acts this 2023!
Dream Theater and Mr. Big had just recently announced that they will be coming back to the Philippines.
These are separate announcements from two concert promoters: PULP Live World and Ovation Productions.
The pedestal of progressive rock, Dream Theater, will be riffing their way to Araneta Coliseum on May 4. The Manila concert is part of their “Top of the World” tour.
For a night, concertgoers can catch virtuosos John Petrucci, James Labrie, John Myung, Jordan Rudess, and Mike Magini playing live music.
Their ticket prices range from P2750 up to P7250.
Dream Theater’s visit follows their supposed New Frontier Theatre show called “Distance Over Time Tour 2020.” However, the tour had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Oh, baby, it’s a wild world” is how concert promoter PULP Live World announced Mr. Big’s comeback as one of the next Manila concert acts.
The Manila visit is included in their “The Big Finish” tour. The tour will be their last, as the band had previously announced.
According to NME’s report, the tour will include a new drummer, Nick D’Virgilio. He will be touring with Mr. Big for their last tour up until 2024.
The band will “be with you” on August 9 at SM North EDSA Sky Dome, Quezon City. The last time they visited the Philippines was in 2017.
