CONCERT HIGHLIGHTS: Ne-Yo’s Sold Out Back-To-Back Concerts In Araneta

Ne-Yo had two successful shows in one night at the “Big Dome”

Ne-Yo has successfully mounted his much awaited back-to-back concert on January 23, 2023, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, with Wilbros Live as promoter. Both shows, which happened in one night, were sold out!

Ne-Yo performed his classic hits as well as some new songs that delighted Filipino fans in attendance. He started with his crowd-jumping songs titled “Ms. Independent” and “She Knows.” Fans also sang along to his hits “Because of You”, “Nobody”, and “Champaign Love.”

The singer also made sure to include his dance hits in his set. He made the crowd dance to the songs “Sexy Love”, “One In A Million”, and “U 2 Luv. ” Later, the multi-awarded singer he played “So Sick” as he is put on the spotlight.

Ne-Yo also performed some of his newer hits titled “Handle Me Gently” and “Pushback.” After that, he surprised the audience with songs “Do You” and the crowd favorite “Mad.”

Ne-Yo sings other hits

The singer also mentioned that his concert is a combination of some “classic, classics; and new classics—something that will be a classic someday.” That being said, he performed Mario’s “Let Me Love You,” the song that made him big as a producer.

Ne-yo also played some tracks that he has written throughout his career, such as Rihanna’s “Take A Bow” and Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable.”

Other notable tracks that he performed during the concert were “Closer”, “Beautiful Monster”, “Play Hard,” and “Let’s Go.”

Filipino celebrities who are fans of the R&B superstar made sure they witness this musical event: Vice Ganda, real-life couple Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza, and Darren Espanto. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray also graced the stage with her lavish cat walk.

The night ended with Ne-Yo thanking everyone as he sang “Time of Our Lives.”

Ne-Yo, known as Shaffer Chimere Smith, is a multi-awarded R&B singer, actor, and record producer who has created hits throughout his career. He has also won three Grammy Awards, and the No. 1 spot in Billboard Top Charts for his song “So Sick”.
