In 1990, Macaulay Culkin stole everyone’s heart as Kevin McCallister in the 1990’s modern classic, Home Alone. The movie franchise is so popular it’s been rebooted by Disney Plus recently.
Have you ever fantasized about spending the holidays in their sprawling abode?
Well, now you can. Airbnb recently announced that four fans are getting the chance to stay at the Chicago-based home this December. As a special treat, Buzz McCallister (Devin Ratray) will serve as the Airbnb host.
“You may not remember me as particularly accommodating, but I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home—my pizza, even—with you this holiday season,” Buzz states in the Airbnb listing. “Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.”
What exactly can you expect from the McCallister home? The house has four bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, boasts of a “holiday wish come true” for many kids and kids at heart.
Plus, you get to live out your Home Alone fantasies. The house comes complete with twinkling lights, a perfectly trimmed tree, “booby traps galore,” a ’90s-themed assortment of food, the opportunity to spend quality time with a tarantula, and everything you’d need to unleash your inner eight-year-old.
And guess what? The lucky guests will get to bring home a LEGO Ideas Home Alone set that they can take and build at home. As a heartwarming bonus, Airbnb announced that a one-time donation has been to the La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago in line with the new listing.
Just take note that this is not a contest, so guests will have to take care of their own travel to Chicago. The overnight stay listed as “A Home Sweet Home Alone Holiday” is currently priced at only $25 or just P1,259 per night. Filthy animals can get ready to book their stays when it officially opens on Dec. 7, 2021.
