Luxury Brands Getting Their Tiger Stripes on This Chinese New Year

The Lunar New Year begins on February 1st, and it seems we’ll be seeing a lot of tiger stripes from luxury brands during the festivities.

Luxury brands have launched their zodiac-themed collection earlier this year in preparation for the Chinese New Year, which happens to be the Year of the Tiger. Although traditionally, red clothes are worn on this occasion, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to wear roaring prints to ward off evil spirits.

Coach

This year, Coach returns with a new collection inspired by the Chinese Zodiac. The designer brand ties together the tiger theme and color red to symbolize luck, happiness, and good fortune, and even dressed Rexy the Mascot for the occasion. If you’re unsure which item to checkout, the Dempsey Tote 22 with Tiger Print is worth considering.

Gucci

Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s affinity with nature’s beauty influenced the design of this Tiger collection. Lush greenery and flowers merge with Gucci’s trademark logo to create a modern set that’s wearable even after the holiday. Spot the feline on a range of clothing and accessories, including t-shirts and sweaters and the popular Rhyton and Ace shoes.
