Is Carmina’s post in reference to Darren’s recent revelation?
Carmina Villarroel and daughter Cassy Legaspi seemed to have been sharing a lot of hugots lately through separate posts they uploaded on Instagram.
The 48-year-old celebrity mom has taken to Instagram a one-liner quote that reads, “Don’t expect the same in return.”
In a follow-up story uploaded on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, Carmina shares a quote about faith and redirection. It reads, “Have faith that when your plans don’t work, God may be protecting you.”
Just as much, Carmina’s daughter Cassy has been hinting at a possible betrayal—following her Instagram story showcasing lines from Hollywood singer Olivia Rodrigo’s hit “Favorite Crime.”
The song bears the lyrics, “Those things I did, just so I could call you mine. The things you did, well, I hope I was your favorite crime. You used me as an alibi, I crossed my heart as you crossed the line.”
On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, Cassy has yet again uploaded a cryptic post—this time, from a song “Ain’t Nobody Takin’ My Baby” by Russ. The said story flashes the lyrics, “‘Cause hurt people, hurt people. That’s a known fact.”
While these may be considered empty posts, their publication happened to coincide with Darren Espanto’s interview with ABS-CBN’s “TV Patrol.”
Despite longstanding speculations that Darren and Cassy are romantically involved, the “It’s Showtime” mainstay has clarified that they only have a platonic relationship.
Darren says, “Makulit sila, e. Sabi namin, best friends lang kami ni Cassy. Best friends talaga, e. Parang it’s something that a lot of people, I guess, won’t get.
“Hindi ko alam kung paano i-explain, but siyempre andun pa rin yung pagmamahal namin para sa isa’t isa.”
Netizens were then quick to assume that Carmina and Cassy’s posts are connected to Darren’s interview. But at press time, none of them have spoken about the matter.
Carmina Villarroel safeguards kids from ill intentions
Time and again, Carmina is very vocal about the welfare of her kids—holding the line from people who intend to inflict pain on Cassy and Mavy.
In an interview with entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz on January 28, 2024, the celebrity mom says that people do not hold the right to hurt her kids.
As Carmina puts it, “Unang-una, walang sinuman ang pwedeng manakit sa’yo physically and emotionally.
“They have no right. So, whether magulang ka o kaya girlfriend ka, boyfriend ka, saktan ka physically, emotionally, hindi tama. Kasi bakit napunta sa ganun, ‘di ba?”
This lesson has always been Carmina’s stronghold, as she always reminds her kids, “Huwag kayong papayag kasi hindi tama. Hindi tama na manakit ng kapwa.”
While Carmina says that her kids are not perfect, she still says that such should never be a reason to hurt them. Lamenting as a mother, she says, “Naiiyak ako kasi parang bakit? Bakit niyo ‘to ginagawa sa kanila? Hindi ko naiintindihan.”
