Daniel: “Masyado nang OA ang mga tao”
Daniel Padilla aired his sentiments on netizens’ reaction to his viral birthday performance—saying that the online response was exaggerated and “over acting.”
The 29-year-old actor made headlines earlier in the week after he rendered an explicit version of Rivermaya’s hit “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita” during his birthday celebration in Tanauan, Batangas.
During the interlude, Daniel rendered an emotional monologue that goes, “Ang iyong tinig at awitin, tuwing sasapit ang ulan, pati lupang pinagsasamahan ay napauwi sa wala dahil limot mo na–ng puso mong biglang lumisan at ngayon, p*t*ng*n* may kapiling ka nang iba.”
Just as much, he tweaked some of the lines and turned it to: “Ang ating ending, hatid sa bahay niyo. Sabay ‘good night’— ito yun oh—walang kiss, sabay ‘bye-bye.”
Netizens, in return, were quick to associate the lines to Daniel’s past flame—Kathryn Bernardo—who is now linked to several actors: Alden Richards, Jericho Rosales, and Donny Pangilinan.
With the ongoing tittle-tattle about whom it was intended, the Kapamilya actor says that the reaction is somehow beyond the top.
Speaking with ABS-CBN News during the opening of his co-owned theme park, he says, “Ang OA nun! Masyado nang OA ang mga tao, nag-e-enjoy lang ako.”
As announced on Daniel and Kathryn’s respective Instagram accounts on November 30, 2023, the ex-couple called it quits after being together for 11 years. Despite their separation, they remained amicable and even attended several events together.

Daniel Padilla opens gates to J Castles
Daniel held a week-long birthday celebration, which started with various charitable causes, including a visit to a cancer-oriented facility and animal-welfare shelters.
After Daniel’s intimate celebration, it culminated into a festive opening of his resort in Tanauan, Batangas called J Castles.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Daniel says that he was hands-on in turning the theme park into reality. As he puts it, “Doon tayo sa creatives and conceptualization.”
“Siyempre hands-on dahil gusto nating ma-e-experience ng mga tao. Hindi naman pwedeng gumawa ng theme park na basta-basta,” he adds.
As seen on J Castles’s Instagram page, the theme park offers highly immersive experiences including light playgrounds and glowing inflatables.
