Alden: “Tingin niyo bading? Fine!”
Alden Richards has shared his piece regarding the issues that consistently hound him—such as his sexuality and the fan-speculated wedding and lovechild he allegedly has with former on-screen partner Maine Mendoza.

In the January 3, 2023 release of Toni Gonzaga’s latest vlog Toni Talks, the “Asia’s Multimedia Star” reveals that he had grown tired of hearing the same old rumor about his sexual orientation.
Toni asks, “What are you tired hearing about,” to which Alden immediately replies, “Sa gender issue.”
Alden adds, “Ganun din. Oh, tingin niyo ganun? Fine. Tingin niyo bading? Fine. Ang iniisip ko nga minsan pag may ganung rumors, ‘Wala na bang iba?’”
Alden and Toni have then agreed to the fact that it was always easy for people to judge a man in showbiz by his restrictions to have a romantic relationship.
With the pre-existing notion about single male celebrities, Alden says, “Ako po, pupunta ba ako sa route na yun dahil gusto ko na namang mag-please [ng tao]?”
He adds, “I have my life right now. I’m happy—perfectly happy with what I have, what I am able to do at the moment, I seize every opportunity, sayang, there’s time for that.”
In the end, Alden has extended his gratitude to the people who took the time to get to know him deeper, including Julia Montes whom he bannered the film “Five Breakups And A Romance” with.
This has not been the first time Alden addressed the issue about his sexuality.
In May 2023, Alden graced a YouTube interview with Ogie Diaz wherein he says that he eventually outgrew the constant query about his romantic inclination.

With 13 years of experience under the limelight, Alden has acknowledged that he has been through a lot of rumors already.
Just one of the alleged stories about him is the fan-made gossip that he married Maine and that they actually have a child hidden from the public radar.

When Maine married Arjo Atayde in July 2023, Alden thought that it would fan the flames down. However, the rumor about him and Maine’s secret affair was only set ablaze by fans who could not accept the fact.
Alden says, “I already said my piece about it, it’s not true. Wala pong katotohanan lahat. Wala po kaming anak, we never got married. Wala po kaming lovechild.”
Regardless of what people believe in, Alden says that he’s at a point in his life that he let them be. As for him, he doesn’t want to rain on their parade to say, “Wala nga, ‘wag kayong makulit.’”
“I’m not that kind of person. I always support happiness of people,” Alden finishes.
Alden’s latest project is the Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “Family of Two (A Mother and Son’s Story), which he bannered with Sharon Cuneta.
