Michelle Obama inspired Alex to undergo in-vitro fertilization
Alex Gonzaga bares in an interview that she had another failed pregnancy in October 2023.
In the latest YouTube vlog uploaded by her sister Toni Gonzaga on Sunday, November 5, Alex revealed that she and husband Lipa City Councilor Mikee Morada were able to conceive through in-vitro fertilization. However, their attempt was not successful.

According to Alex, she got the idea from Michelle Obama—former U.S. President Barack Obama’s wife.
A clip was flashed in the video wherein a medical personnel seems to be discussing to Alex what went wrong. Alex then confirmed that it was the day that she was made aware of the miscarriage.
Alex reveals having a spiritual moment with the Lord the night before she found out.
“A night before, kinakausap ko si Lord, parang talagang—yung parang dati na talagang nagpe-pray ako na, ‘Lord, please ibigay mo na ‘to sa akin. Alam ko na ginawa mo akong pregnant uli for a good reason.’ So, pray ako nang pray nang pray.”

Alex then admits having to wake up in the morning scared due to fear of what might be the result.
“Noong first punta namin [sa doctor], walang nakikita, e. ‘Tapos may nakitang mass sa kabilang fallopian [tube]. Nakikita ko na hindi na maganda yung nangyayari kasi yung mga doctor, gumagamit na ng malalalim na [terms],” she reveals.
Before the final check-up, Alex says she had yet another spiritual conversation with the Lord while bathing.
She says, “Noong nagliligo ako, parang bigla na lang akong kinausap ni Lord. Parang, ‘Why are you in a rush to be pregnant? Why?’ ‘Tapos naiyak ako kasi naisip ko, ‘Oo nga ‘no, ba’t ba ‘ko in a rush?’”
For that, Alex has an answer—she’s pressured by people.
Toni recalls that even in her baby shower, people are yelling “Si Alex na yung susunod.” Add to that are speculations that Alex was already pregnant and that she’s just keeping it below everyone’s radar.
Alex Gonzaga offers words of comfort, apologies for husband
Even with another failed miscarriage, Alex still finds comfort in the presence of Mikee.
When Toni asked what Alex had discovered about his husband during their attempt to be pregnant, Alex says, “Si Mikee, very supportive siya talaga, e. Pero hindi niya pinapakita sa akin yung emotions niya.
“Pero ang pinaka-nakita ko kay Mikee is talagang partner siya na hindi niya ipaparamdam na kasalanan mo; kasama mo talaga siya.”
Alex and Mikee got married in November of 2020. She had her first miscarriage in October 2021.
