Ariella Arida has nothing but respect for Willie Revillame
Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida has maintained that she never had a relationship with host Willie Revillame.
“Wala talaga, promise,” the former beauty queen said in an interview on Butch Francisco’s vlog released on June 9, 2023.
Rumors about their romance began when Ariella joined the TV host-comedian on his game show “Wowowin” for two years.
Recalling how they first met, Ariella said: “Napanood nila ako sa ‘Family Feud.’ Gusto niya na akong kuning host. Nag-meeting na kaagad kami kasama ko yung ibang friends ko kasi nasa dinner ako.”
Ariella revealed that Willie directly asked her if she was in a relationship with someone.
“Tinanong niya kaagad, ‘May boyfriend ka?’ Nung time na yun, may boyfriend talaga ako, wala akong magagawa. So sabi ko, ‘Ay meron.’ In fairness naman kay Kuya, kapag may boyfriend, wala talaga,” she said.
“Naniniwala ako, ang dami ko nang nakasama sa industry, nasa tao talaga yun, how you present yourself. May kilala kasi ako na malapitin sa ganun ‘tapos parang they don’t know how to get away with it. Ako, nasa tao talaga. Kung ayaw mo talaga, ayaw mo, ‘di ba?”
Ariella said she respects Willie so much because he taught her a lot of things.
“Sinasabi ko din all high regards kay Kuya Wil. Kasi in all fairness, sa kanya talaga din ako natuto, siya ang nagbigay ng chance sa akin mag-host, kung paano magsalita, makisalamuha sa masa. I did the job for two years din,” she said.
Proving that all is well and friendly between them, Ariella shared that they were recently together on a vacation.
“Kakasama ko lang, nag-aya mag-beach sa Palawan kasama yung mga dati naming kasamahan.”
Ariella Arida and her future
At the moment, Ariella is still looking for something to complete her life.
When asked by Butch where she sees herself 10 years from now, Ariella recalled a specific moment in the past wherein she was asked the exact same question.
“Actually nakakatuwa nga kasi isa yan sa questions sakin sa closed-door interview noong Miss Universe. I remember si Paula Shugart yung nagtanong sa akin.
“So, at that time, I’m 24. Tanong ni Paula, ‘So, how do you see yourself 10 years from now?’
“So, ngayon yun, and ang sagot ko ‘Oh I have a family, I am a mom. I’m still doing maybe my chemistry background or in the entertainment industry,’” she recalled.
Even though she has yet to fulfill her goal, Ariella remains positive that it would happen sooner than later.
“Pero naniniwala naman ako na lahat perfect timing and I’m so prayerful. And I know the Lord will guide me and also my Dad is there. So, alam ko sila na ‘yung bahala when will that be,” she said.
Ariella added, “But definitely 10 years from now, I’ll be happy having time with my kids and my husband.”
