Beauty Gonzalez “Over The Moon” With Success Of GMA-7’s “Stolen Life”

Beauty says: “Everyone’s calling me, ‘Farrah! Ay este, Lucy!'”

Beauty Gonzalez is happy that her GMA Afternoon Prime series, “Stolen Life,” is breaking records in TV ratings and online views.

On February 9, the TV show registered its highest rating with 11.2%, even beating GMA-7’s no. 1 drama in the afternoon, “Abot Kamay Na Pangarap.”

In the show where she shares top billing with Carla Abellana and Gabby Concepcion, Beauty plays Farrah, a woman who uses astral projection to escape the crime she committed.

Through astral projection, she then exchanges bodies with Carla’s character, Lucy, and pretends to be her while she’s inside her body.

In an interview with FreebieMNL and other reporters during the press conference of her sitcom “Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik Na Misis 2,” Beauty says she can’t believe the success that “Stolen Life” has achieved.

She says, “I am still over the moon about it. Actually, hindi ako makapaniwala pa.

“Kasi I’ve been out of the country, I’ve been busy so I haven’t really been into social media, so ngayon na lang na nakabalik ako, nagugulat ako.

Kasi I’m starting a movie now with JM de Guzman so we’re shooting in Laguna. Everyone’s calling me, ‘Farrah! Ay este, Lucy! Beauty!’ Everybody’s calling me that.

“The last time I had this was quite a while na may tumatawag talaga sa akin.

“I’m so thankful kasi it’s very soap opera, di ba? Double role and nasakyan ng mga tao. So, yehey, good job Beauty, good job Carla, good job Gabby!”

Currently, Carla and Beauty are back to assuming their original roles as the show wraps up its run.

Doing action in new show

Now, Beauty enjoys doing action in the second season of “Walang Matigas Na Pulis Sa Matinik Na Misis.”

In the first season, she just plays the doting housewife of Tolome (Senator Bong Revilla) but in this season, they exchange roles as he becomes a house husband while she assumes office as a policewoman.

According to Beauty, she did not imagine that she would play a policewoman and do comedy ever in her career.

Hindi talaga, hindi ko ma-imagine na magkaroon ako ng action comedy!

“But now, nadagdagan ng action, sobrang thankful ako sa GMA. I’m really really thankful to them kasi ang daming mga proyekto na iba-ibang binibigay nila sa akin.

“From drama to comedy to action to suspense-thriller with Dingdong before, sobrang bongga, thank you.”

“Walang Matigas Na Pulis Sa Matinik Na Misis” season two airs every Sunday on GMA-7’s Best Weekend Ever block.

Beauty as a Kapuso

It has been three years since Beauty transferred to GMA-7.

Since then, she has been able to do several projects in the network: “Loving Miss Bridgette (2021),” “AlterNATE (2022),” “The Fake Life (2022),” “Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters (2022),” and “Walang Matigas Na Pulis Sa Matinik Na Misis (2023).”

Now that “Stolen Life” is about to end its run, she just started the second season of “Walang Matigas Na Pulis Sa Matinik Na Misis.”

Beauty is thankful to the network not only with the number of projects she gets but also because this happens despite not being an exclusive contract star of the network.

“Well. I’m very happy and thankful for them because despite [the fact] that I don’t have a contract, [only] per project, they still give me these beautiful projects, so thank you.

“It really proves to me that I don’t have to be a contract star or whatever, just keep doing what you’re doing and show them that you have the skills for it and you’ll be okay. And that would be my advice for all the young artists out there, just be yourself and give your best, blessings will come to you.”
