Cherry Pie Picache Remains “Good Friends” With Ex Edu Manzano

Cherry Pie and Edu’s romance was their second shot

Cherry Pie Picache and Edu Manzano may have already reached the end of their relationship, but that did not stop them from having a cordial relationship with each other outside romance.

The veteran actress shares her relationship status with Edu in an interview with some members of the press during the grand media conference of the MMFF entry “Firefly” on Wednesday, December 19.

After months of breakup speculation, Cherry Pie says that it is not appropriate at her age anymore to depend her happiness on somebody else. She even emphasizes, “Dapat din ay buo ako or whatever or kumpleto ako kung magmamahal ako ulit.

As for her relationship with Edu, Cherry Pie says, “We are very good friends, he is a very good person. We are very good friends. We will always love each other, so ‘yon.”

“I think we are okay naman. I think we will always love each other and ‘yun nga, we are friends, we are good friends,” she adds.

Is Cherry Pie Picache still open to romance?

Still speaking on the sidelines of the grand media conference, Cherry Pie says that her doors are open should love come knocking once more.

However, Cherry Pie shares that even without it, she is still happy with herself.

“And ako, personally, I can’t complain. God has been blessing me so much. Tapos tayo as tayo, ‘yung magmahalan na lang, magtulungan na lang, hindi ba?

“We’ve learned so much from the pandemic. So ngayon, may partner o wala, ayan na, may partner o wala, okay lang, hindi ba? Let’s be grateful for every day.”

Cherry Pie and Edu’s relationship was publicized in 2021. They shared that their romance was a second shot at love, given that they both dated each other 20 years ago at that time.

The two of them were able to reconnect via the ABS-CBN series, “Marry Me, Marry You” headlined by Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino.

Meanwhile, Cherry Pie does her first Kapuso project after many years through GMA Pictures’ “Firefly,” where she plays the aunt of Alessandra de Rossi.
