Daniel is not leaving his home network!
Daniel Padilla remains a Kapamilya, as he gears up for yet another contract-signing under the Kapamilya Network’s talent management arm Star Magic in February.
According to the tittle-tattle, the 28-year-old actor has been looking for another talent agency already, therefore pointing to possible non-renewal of his contract under Star Magic.
However, in an X (formerly Twitter) report released by ABS-CBN entertainment journalist MJ Felipe on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the actor is set for a contract renewal under Star Magic.
MJ’s tweet reads, “THIS JUST IN: According to Star Magic, Daniel Padilla is scheduled to sign his network contract renewal next month with ABS-CBN [and] will still remain with Star Magic.
“This is contrary to rumors circulating that the actor is allegedly leaving Star Magic, is looking for a new talent agency and Star Magic is allegedly not renewing him as their talent.
“Star Magic says Daniel will remain with the talent management agency.”

Rumor of Daniel’s network switch started after his much-publicized separation with then-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo on November 30, 2023.

However, before all that, Daniel has initially announced in April 2023 the list of films he is set to undertake. First in line is the psychological suspense-thriller “The Guest,” which he will banner with John Arcilla.

The second film is titled “Nang Mapagod Si Kamatayan” drawn from National Artist for Film and Broadcast Ricky Lee’s collection of short story “Kung Alam Niyo Lang Ang Gagamitin sa Pelikula.”
And finally, Daniel’s third film was reported to be co-headlined by Kathryn. However, the recent developments in their relationship may point whether it will still push through or not anymore.
Kathryn was also rumored to leave Star Magic. However, the speculation was turned down by her mother, Min Bernardo.
