Kathryn says it is “chapter closed”
Kumpirmadong hiwalay na ang showbiz couple na sina Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla.
Si Kathryn mismo ang nag-anunsiyo ng balita sa pamamagitan ng statement na kanyang ini-upload sa Instagram ngayong gabi, November 30.
Sa umpisa ng kanyang carousel post ay isang lumang litrato nila ni Daniel ang makikita, na tila kuha pa noong 2013 base sa hairstyle ni Daniel.
Sinimulan ni Kathryn ang kanyang statement sa pagkukuwento tungkol sa paano tumakbo ang kanyang karera, kasama na rito ang 12 years ng love team nila ni Daniel, at ang 11 taon na magkarelasyon sila.
Sinabi ni Kathryn na lumaki siya sa industriya na may “best guidance and support system.” Pero nang siya’y tumanda na at saka niya sinimulang mag-desisyon para sa sarili, kasama na ang usapin tungkol sa pag-ibig.
Saad ni Kathryn, “I’ve been in showbiz for almost 21 years now, 12 years as the one-half of Kathniel, and 11 years as someone who loved Deej even behind the camera.
“I didn’t grow up in this industry constantly being controlled and dictated on. I was lucky to have had the best guidance and support system when I started my career and I’ve continuously worked hard to earn people’s trust.
“But since I became an adult, I took it upon myself to take charge of my own life—the projects I work on, the way I dress, the people I surround myself with. I’ve always tried to be my own person. I was encouraged to think for myself and decide for myself.
“Even when it comes to love. Especially when it comes to love.”
11 years of genuine love
Pagkatapos nito ay binalikan ni Kathryn ang naging relasyon kay Daniel. Ayon kay Kathryn, “genuine” ang naging pagmamahalan nila at hindi lang para sa love team na kanilang nabuo.
Dagdag pa niya, hindi niya nire-regret ang nakaraang 11 years na naging magkarelasyon sila ng kanyang “first boyfriend.”
Aniya, “What Deej and I had was real. It was never for show. We were together not because of the cameras, not because of the fans, not because of the money that comes with a successful love team. We were genuinely in love. We grew up together, dreamed together, and saw many of those dreams become a reality—still together.
“That’s almost half of my life that I would never regret and would never trade for anything in the world. These are 11 years that brought me joy, adventure, and the feeling of being home. Years that taught me the real meaning of unconditional love and friendship.
“He knew me more than anyone else. He was my first boyfriend. He was my comfort zone. He was my person. I will always have love for him.”
“We tried to make it work.”
Sa sumunod na slide ng kanyang statement, sinabi ni Kathryn na sinubukan nila ni Daniel na gawin ang lahat para mag-work ang kanilang relasyon.
Inamin din niyang sila raw ay “drifting apart for a while now” at hindi na maibabalik ang dati nilang samahan.
Ani Kathryn, “Like any other relationship, we tried our best to make it work. We’ve been drifting apart for a while now, and we ultimately had to accept that we can’t go back to where we used to be. It just won’t be fair to pretend that everything is still the same.”
Inamin din ni Kathryn na naging mahirap ang mga nakaraang buwan para sa kanila bago harapin ang “elephant in the room.”
“These past few months have been tough, but thank you for giving us the time we need to process the pain and finally face the elephant in the room.
“Our love story began with respect and ended with respect.”
Kasunod nito ay nagbigay siya ng mensahe para sa KathNiel fans at in-assure ang mga ito na patuloy pa rin nilang susuportahang ni Daniel ang isa’t isa habang sila ay nasa “healing process.”
Sinabihan din niyang huwag nang mag-take sides ang kanilang mga fans at masira ang pamilyang nabuo nila.
“Kathniels, we know you are hurting, and trust me, this also hurts us both more than you can imagine. The last thing we want is for this family to break apart with everyone taking sides— please don’t.
“Deej and I will continue to support each other as we try to heal and move forward from this. We will continue to love you and make you proud, but we hope you understand that this is something we really need.
“We hope you can join us in this healing process and not let those precious memories go to waste. Kaya natin to.”
Tinapos ni Kathryn ang kanyang statement sa isang maiksing mensahe para kay Daniel.
Sabi niya sa kapareha, “Deej, you gave me 11 beautiful years and the kind of love that I will forever cherish. I will always be grateful for you.”

Sa caption ni Kathryn sa kanyang Instagram post, sinabi niyang sarado na ang chapter na ito ng buhay niya , na tuluyang kumpirmasyon na hiwalay na sila ni Daniel.
Sabi pa ni 27-year-old actress, hindi na siya sasagot pa ng kahit ano pang tanong tungkol dito.
Saad ni Kathryn, “Chapter closed. I hope this finally helps all of us move forward. I won’t be entertaining questions regarding this anymore. Thank you for understanding.”
Nitong mga nakaraang linggo ay umugong ang bali-balitang hiwalay na sina Kathryn at Daniel pagkatapos ng 11 years na relasyon, base na rin sa balitang nakarating sa showbiz reporter na si Ogie Diaz.
Lumutang ang pangalan ni Andrea Brillantes na dahilan ng kanilang hiwalayan. Mas tumindi naman ang espekulasyon ng netizens nang i-unfollow ni Kathryn si Andrea sa Instagram.
Nitong nakaraan, sinabi rin ng veteran reporter na si Cristy Fermin na kinumpirma ng ina ni Daniel na si Karla Estrada na hiwalay na nga sina Kathryn at Daniel. Subalit itinanggi naman ni Karla na may sinabi siyang ganito.
Nagsimula ang love team nila Kathryn at Daniel sa 2011 weekly series na “Growing Up.” Pagkatapos nito ay nagtambal sila sa “Princess and I,” kung saan sila nagkamabutihan.
Ilan pa sa mga nagawa nilang proyekto ay ang mga teleseryeng “Got To Believe (2013)”, “Pangako Sa ‘Yo (2015)”, “La Luna Sangre (2017)”, at 2 Good 2 Be True (2022).”
