Heaven Peralejo Grateful To Be Pitted Against Song Hye Kyo In 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards

Arjo Atayde and Isabelle Daza are among the celebrities who will represent the Philippines in Singapore

Rising actress Heaven Peralejo has been nominated in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category at the 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards.

Heaven’s nomination stems from her remarkable portrayal in the film “Nanahimik ang Gabi” wherein she was paired with heartthrob Ian Veneracion.

On December 6, 2023, Heaven will be in Singapore to attend the awarding ceremony of the Asian Academy Creative Awards. The event promises to be a celebration of exceptional acting talent from across the continent, showcasing the richness and diversity of Asian cinema.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards will see Heaven pitted against renowned Korean actress and global sensation, Song Hye Kyo, for her performance in “The Glory.”

Heaven considers her nomination alongside Song Hye Kyo as a big milestone in her career. Does she feel pressure about representing the Philippines?

She says in a recent interview, “Medyo naiisip ko, mape-pressure ba ako? Dapat hindi kasi si Song Hye Kyo, to be nominated alongside her, sobrang laking step na ‘yon.

Kasi pinapanood ko lang siya sa ‘The Glory.’ Parang isa ako sa mga fans niya. Kung maibigay sa akin yung award, sobrang pasalamat ko kay Lord.

Pero kung hindi, to be nominated alongside Song Hye Kyo and the other actors, grateful na ako,” said the former teen housemate of “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7.”

Heaven is one of the lead stars of the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean movie “Sunny.”

She is also set to play Luna again in the second season of The University Series, “Safe Skies, Archer,” which is the follow-up to her project with Marco Gallo, “The Rain In Espana.”

Aside from Heaven, Arjo Atayde and Isabelle Daza will represent the Philippines during the awards night to be held in Singapore.
