Disappointment and heartbreak are the core of Jamie Miller’s new single
International pop singer Jamie Miller has dropped his new single titled “Maybe Next Time” under recording label BMG on May 10, 2023.
The 25-year-old singer has opened his heart out once again as he unveiled his newest single, which is a musical narration of a “major disappointment” and his candid affirmation of “the heartache that comes with it.”
According to Jamie, “This song marks a new chapter in my life, one where I’ve learned to trust myself and the journey I’m on.”
It comes with a confirmation that his inspiration is “the heartache we’ve all felt in one way or another–the longing for a love that’s just out of reach.”
“I hope to share with my fans the belief that there’s always a chance for redemption and growth. Here’s to hoping that next time is the time we all find what we’re searching for,” he adds.
Even before the release, the song has already gained massive online traction, with over thirty-one thousand pre-saves and 15 million views on TikTok. To date, its Spotify streams have reached more than 4 million streams a month after its release date.
The music goes hand in hand with the visuals, as he also unveiled a music video directed by Nayip Ramos. Reflective of its core, the video follows Jamie in a seeming attempt to find the pieces of a distant romance.
Who is Jamie Miller?
Before entering the music industry, Jamie used to work as a call center agent in Wales—the very place he was born and raised. After his “The Voice UK” feat in 2017, his career has propelled to greater heights, even gaining the attention and praise of prominent figures, such as Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, and Sam Smith.
In 2021, his single “Here’s Your Perfect” heavily lifted his name as one of the popular artists on Spotify. With over 300 million streams and a spot held securely at 100 of the Spotify 200, Jamie is now considered a widely acclaimed musician.
