The rumor was confirmed by one of their wedding godfathers
Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones are reported to have parted ways in 2019, finally confirming the long-standing rumor of their separation that lasted for years.
Ricci Ocampo, Jericho and Kim’s wedding godfather, confirmed the split through a statement released on Monday, January 29, 2024 via ABS-CBN.
Despite the fallout, which dates back five years ago, Ricci assured that the two have remained civil, cordial even, with each other.
Ricc’s statement reads, “While the friendship between the two remains, they have decided it is time to lead separate lives. They are encouraging each other to grow, albeit in different directions. It was a mutual decision, an amicable separation, dealt with grace and maturity by both parties.
“The two are filled with gratitude for the memories they’ve made together and the lessons they’ve learned. They have journeyed through the separation with the utmost respect and care toward one another precisely because [Jericho] and Kim are the best of friends and love each other like family.

Ricci also states that the separation was not from ill feelings. But instead, the decision is “a demonstration of their affection and respect.
With that, the godfather made it known that the two are “incredibly grateful for those who have supported them throughout the years,” especially those who respected their privacy during rough times.
Lastly, Ricci says that the ex-lovers are working on a new film together, with Jericho as the producer and Kim as the writer, director, and actor. The film, yet to be named, is lined up for release this 2024.
Aside from this, both have been working closely on their personal growth—Kim focused on writing and filmmaking, while Jericho is set for the premiere of his latest project “Sell Block.”
Ricci’s confirmation came amid constant speculation that Jericho and Kim have already separated. Netizens have been observant enough to point out that they no longer post each other on social media, despite small interactions on Instagram.
In a PEP.ph interview on January 12, 2024, Jericho was reluctant to disclose details of his relationship with Kim. Yet, he assures that he and Kim are “amazing.”
Jericho and Kim met in 2011 and got engaged in 2013. They married in 2014 in Boracay through an intimate beach-themed wedding ceremony.
