Karla clarifies that she does not want to meddle in her kids’ relationship
Karla Estrada has quashed an exposé pointing that she confirmed her son Daniel Padilla’s breakup with longtime girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.
Breaking her silence over the issue, the celebrity mom has shared a related article on Facebook to deny the ongoing claims.
She writes, “Ito po ay walang katotohanan. Kailan man ay hindi ko panghihimasukan o pangungunahan ang personal na buhay ng mga anak ko.“
Karla’s social media statement followed after showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin alleged in a YouTube vlog with co-hosts Wendell Alvarez and Romel Chika that Karla has long confirmed KathNiel’s separation to a friend.
Cristy says, “Basta kami po, paninindigan namin, hiwalay na po talaga sila Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla. At yan naman po ay nanggaling sa bibig mismo ng ina ni Daniel Padilla.”

Taking the clues of the source, Cristy says that Kathryn’s transition from conservative to daring indicates her split from Daniel. This is probable, as according to her, Daniel has been protective of Kathryn’s image even before.
Cristy says, “Ang sabi ng source, bilangin ninyo yung panahon na si Kathryn ay ibang-iba na ang gayak. Nagpapakita na ng skin, nagpapa-sexy. Ito ay bago pa yung pelikula nila ni Miss Dolly de Leon.
“Nagtataka kasi ang buong mundo kung bakit, sa kabila ng pagiging napaka-protective, maingat masyado si Daniel kahit sa mga kapatid niya, e, ‘di ba? Napaka-protective niya kay Kathryn.”
The trio then went on to speculate why until now, Kathryn and Daniel remain mum over the issue. According to them it might be because of Daniel’s discretion or that there is a possible endorsement that holds strict bearing over KathNiel’s relationship.
Regardless which, Cristy says, “Pero ngayon na si Karla Estrada na nagsabi sa isa niyang kaibigan na tapos na talaga ang relasyon, isa po ang patunay at pampublikong imahe ng bendikasyon ni Ogie Diaz ito.”
Before Karla Estrada’s statement
Talent manager Ogie Diaz was first to claim Kathryn and Daniel’s breakup through a YouTube vlog uploaded on November 8. In the video, he also claims that “Senior High” actress Andrea Brillantes was the third-party.
Since then, Ogie has been receiving a lot of backlash from KathNiel fans for allegedly spreading fake news. However, he released a disclaimer days after, saying that the news was not a direct confirmation. Rather, it was only from the hearsays that they’ve gathered.

Amid the speculations, Daniel and Kathryn were spotted together and dancing at an event on November 14. Kathryn even shared some photos from the event through her Instagram account.
Daniel, on the other hand, remained supportive of Kathryn after he reposted the actress’s special campaign with an online magazine.
