Kris is one “very happy mama” as she reunites with Josh and Bimby
Veteran actress-host Kris Aquino has reunited with sons Josh and Bimby in Los Angeles, California, as she gears for chemotherapy as part of her ongoing battle against autoimmune diseases.
On Sunday, June 2, the “Queen of All Media” uploaded a series of snaps on Instagram showing their reunion at the airport. The caption is a heartfelt message of promises and well-wishes to her sons.
Kris writes: “My pictures were ready to share – memorable moments of kuya Josh & Bimb w/ their Tito Noy timed for his 2nd death anniversary, but each time I tried to edit, I kept crying-because I can never forget how much he hated when the 3 of us weren’t together.”
Tito Noy is in reference to Kris’ late brother, former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III—who she recalls had pledged on protecting her, Josh, and Bimby at their late mother Corazon Aquino’s death bed.
According to Kris, it was June 25 in the Philippines when he asked Bimby via FaceTime to come back to the United States, as a striking pain in her joints and lower back gave her a hard time walking. During the call, she also made an effort to ask Josh if he wanted to come, to which he agreed.
Kris then offers well intentions for Bimb, as she hopes for him “to experience normal teenage life.” More so, she has in mind Josh’s “happy place” called Alto, which she says is their family compound in Tarlac.
Kris wraps her message up with: “Kuya & Bimb are my living reminders to not give up because they still need a healthier mama. ‘Pag mahal mo , hinding hindi ka susuko, itutuloy ang LABAN.
“Tonight I’ll sleep ‘siksik’ in between my 2 giants. Muling nabuo kaming 3, thank you God for making me a very happy mama,” she finishes.
Kris extends gratitude to “many people”
In the same post, Kris initially mentions that she’s thankful “for the love, care, and compassion” that some people have given her and her two sons.
Industry colleagues have then flocked to Kris’ post to express their joy over the reunion, including “Magandang Buhay” host Melai Cantiveros and former “Kris TV” head writer Darla Sauler, who made it a point of checking on Josh and Bimby before the flight.
Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste, Kris Aquino’s recent beau, has also uploaded on his Instagram story a clip of the reunion.
Earlier in May, Kris has publicized her existing health status, as she shared having five autoimmune cases and a possibility of developing another one. Currently, she is under regular dosage of immunosuppressants—a chemotherapy medication usually given to cancer patients but in a smaller dosage.
