Maine’s father-in-law Art Atayde just asked the big question!
Maine Mendoza hinted at the possibility of welcoming her first child with Arjo Atayde this year!
She revealed that a baby might be arriving “coming soon” in God’s will during her 29th birthday celebration on “Eat Bulaga!”
Her statement came in response to a heartfelt video message from her father-in-law, Art Atayde, who jokingly asked about having a baby during his birthday greeting.
Art told his daughter-in-law, “First of all, I would like to greet my very nice, very loving and beautiful daughter-in-law, Maine Atayde, a very, very happy birthday. Ayan Maine ha, pinupuri kita dahil birthday mo.
“Pero, tumatanda ka na. So, where’s the baby? Ano ba ang ginagawa ninyo ni Arjo? Palibhasa, puro shopping siguro?”
Art, known for his close bond with Maine, teased her about answering the question and said, “Kidding aside, I wish you all the best and may you have a good one. Just remember that we will always be here for you and we love you. Happy, happy birthday!”
After the video messages, Vic Sotto asked Maine to address her father-in-law’s question. Maine replied, “Bossing, coming soon. ‘Pag binigay po ni Lord.”
Maine also expressed gratitude to everyone who sent her birthday wishes, including her husband, parents, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and friends.
Maine and Arjo, who met in 2018, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Baguio City in July 2023.
