Anntonia to Michelle: “I don’t think that my journey in Miss Universe would have been the same if you were not there”
Miss Universe 2023 batchmates Michelle Dee and Anntonia Porsild are reunited in the Philippines!
This happens more than two months after the pageant’s coronation night in El Salvador.
Roommates during their Miss Universe 2023 delegation, Michelle and Anntonia were able to form a sisterly bond with each other throughout the competition.
With their well-received friendship, fans have shipped their tandem and named them together as PorDee—a wordplay for “For The” and derived from their surnames Porsild and Dee.
The two beauty queens bid each other farewell in November 2023, in what Michelle views in a tweet as not a goodbye, but more of a “see you later.” And now, two months later, they are back together again.

The Miss Universe Thailand Organization has announced Anntonia’s arrival via Instagram. According to the post, the first runner-up finisher will visit the country “to fulfill her duties in the Philippines.”
The organization has uploaded a series of photos showing that Michelle Dee has welcomed the Thai beauty queen at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Monday night, January 29, 2024.
During Michelle’s guest appearance in GMA-7’s “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” she reveals that she shares a wide common ground with the Thai beauty.
As Michelle puts it, “One of the best things in pageantry is, you know, meeting amazing girls with like-minded passions and it just so happened that me and Anntonia actually got to know each other.
“We have the same energy, we have the same sense of humor. We are both very sarcastic and we both have very dark humor.”
Michelle and Anntonia’s bonding moment were mostly made of funny TikTok videos and both can be seen goofing around with each other during the pageant. Now that they’re back, Michelle published yet another TikTok video reminiscent of their time in Miss Universe.

Michelle Dee and Anntonia Porsild reflect on their friendship
In a press conference held on January 30, 2024, Michelle and Anntonia have offered each other fond words and appreciation.

Michelle, for her part, says that her friendship with Anntonia is anchored on strong foundations. That is owed mainly to their goal of uniting Thailand and the Philippines, who don’t get along really well especially when it comes to pageantry.
Michelle shares, “The whole PorDee, #PorDee was really formed because we wanted to represent unity between Thailand and the Philippines.
“I am so glad that that’s what we represent—something that is actually a genuine friendship.”
She adds, “Since the whole PorDee thing happened, I’m just glad that we represent something so amazing, especially because it’s not fake.
“And I just want everybody to know that Anntonia is such an amazing person. She is so genuine, she really thinks about other people first, and that’s the kind of people you want to surround yourself with,” Michelle finishes.
“Anntonia has taken a quick trip down memory lane, as she shares that their friendship started from a banter. And with that, she reveals having to admire Michelle since “she is someone who is not afraid to be who she is.”
She adds, “During our time together in El Salvador and in Mexico, I feel like our bond really got stronger because even though it was a competition, we still had each other’s backs. We still supported each other and still uplifted each other throughout the entire time there.
“And I don’t think that my journey in Miss Universe would have been the same if you were not there—to be by my side and to give me a real distinct perspective outside all the glitz and the glamour.”
Anntonia finished her Miss Universe 2023 journey as first runner-up, while Michelle settled for a Top 10 finish. The eventual winner is Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
