Marvel Releases “Loki” Season 2 Official Trailer

“Loki” Season 2 will be out on Disney+ on October 6

Looks like we’ll be seeing more from the God of Mischief in the upcoming season of his standalone series, “Loki.”

Disney+ released the trailer for “Loki” Season 2 on July 31, announcing its return on October 6 with six new episodes.

The upcoming season follows Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) as they delve into the multiverse’s origins and potential catastrophic consequences. The multiverse was unleashed by Sylvie, a variant of Loki portrayed by Sophia Di Martino, when she killed the creator of the Time Variance Authority, He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), in “Loki” Season 1.

The trailer brings Jonathan Majors back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, despite his upcoming trial on domestic violence charges in August. Additionally, the new season introduces two notable MCU debuts, Ke Huy Quan and Rafael Casal.

Ke Huy Quan, who won an Academy Award for supporting actor, showcases his skillful comic timing in the trailer. Although little has been revealed about his “Loki” character, OB, Quan will play a big part in Loki’s journey.

Casal’s character is also shrouded in mystery, but leaked set photos showed him walking alongside stars Hiddleston and Wilson, leading fans to speculate that he will portray Zaniac, a Marvel comics villain. Yet, Jonathan’s return to the series has garnered significant attention.

In the trailer, Jonathan appears as Victor Timely, a character first introduced in a post-credits scene from “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” Loki assures Mobius that Timely is a formidable figure.

Jonathan Major in “Loki”

Jonathan Major’s “Kang The Conqueror” role in the MCU is still shaky since the allegations placed on the actor in March.

In June, Rolling Stone published a report accusing Majors of abusing his ex-girlfriends and exhibiting aggression on sets over the past decade. The report was based on interviews with over 40 former Yale classmates and colleagues.

Jonathan’s attorneys denied the allegations and maintained his innocence throughout the case. They also released a video showing his accuser uninjured after parting ways with Majors on the night of the alleged incident in March.

Jonathan filed a separate police report against his accuser, claiming to be the victim of domestic violence. His trial is scheduled to begin on August 3. At press time, no update has been released yet regarding his future in the series.
