Noah Schnapp Comes Out As Gay

“Noah Schnapp, gay at 18!”

Actor Noah Schnapp has come out as gay six months after confirming his “Stranger Things” character’s long-rumored sexuality.

Aside from being part of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” Schnapp is a first-year business student at the University of Pennsylvania. Over the summer, he acknowledged the sexuality of his “Stranger Things” character for the first time.

He made the announcement about his own sexuality on TikTok last January 5, 2023. “When I finally informed my friends and family I was homosexual after being afraid in the closet for 18 years, and all they said was ‘we know,'” Schnapp captioned the video.

Schnapp’s video features him lip-syncing to an audio clip of someone asking, “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, it will never be that serious.”

“I guess I’m more like Will than I imagined,” the actor also says, nodding a blatant reference to his “Stranger Things” character. Will was in love with his best friend Mike (Finn Wolfhard) throughout the series’ fourth season.

“It was always kind of there, but you never knew. Is it just him growing up slower than his friends?” Schnapp says about Will’s lack of love interest in the show.

A bunch of friends sat together in a TikTok video posted by Noah’s pals (@meltyiceycubey). One of them yelled, “Noah Schnapp, gay at 18!” The gang explodes in shock, and the camera pans around to reveal Noah screaming at the news.

Fans are obsessed with the video, which has over 2 million views. “Noah is so self-aware that I’m OBSESSED,” a TikTok user said. “Him being there and appearing the most astonished is HILARIOUS,” said another.
