Olivia Rodrigo Drops Latest Single For “Hunger Games” Prequel

Have you heard the theme song of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes?”

Filipino-American singer Olivia Rodrigo released a new song last October 3 for the official soundtrack of the currently showing film, “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.”

On her Instagram account, Olivia shared that she wrote the song, titled “Can’t Catch Me Now,” for the upcoming prequel to the famous “Hunger Games” series.

In her post, she excitedly announced, “Yayayayyyy!!!! My new song ‘Can’t Catch Me Now’ from the @thehungergames is out now. The film and the rest of the soundtrack are out November 17th!!!!! Hope ya dig.”

Suzanne Collins originally wrote “The Hunger Games” series from 2008 to 2010. Its undying popularity and support from fans played a significant role in extending the franchise, leading to the prequel film, which was released on November 17, 2023.

“The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” marks the fifth installment in the “Hunger Games” film series. It takes a unique perspective by focusing on a young Coriolanus Snow, who later becomes the future president of Panem.

The storyline revolves around his role as a mentor for a tribute in the 10th Hunger Games. This event plays a significant role in shaping his tyrannical reign, as reported by Variety.
