“Love you, my soon to be Daughter in law,” says Sylvia to Maine!
Veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez has thrown a bridal shower for future daughter-in-law, “E.A.T.” host Maine Mendoza.

Maine is engaged to Sylvia’s son, politician-actor Arjo Atayde, who proposed to the 28-year-old celebrity in July 2022.
Sylvia has uploaded some snaps from the party wherein Maine was seen celebrating with some of her friends, family members, and soon-to-be in-laws in pajamas.
The caption reads: “Happy to welcome you to our big happy and crazy family. Soon!!! Mrs Maine Mendoza Atayde ka na. Can’t wait for the Big Day. Love you, my soon to be Daughter in law.”
Just as fond, Maine responds, “Aahhhh thank you so much Roco, Campo, and Atayde family for last night. Had such a wonderful time with everyone. Thank you, tita… future mom!!! Love you.”
Sylvia and Maine’s intimate bond even before officially becoming in-laws appeals well to the netizens as they flocked to the veteran actress’ comment section to extend their joys and well-wishes.

Maine also had some of her friends over, including “Wildflower” star Maja Salvador and Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Maryjean Lastimosa.
Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza’s pamamanhikan
Prior to this, Arjo made an effort to visit Maine’s relatives in Bulacan—a gesture called “pamamanhikan” wherein a bachelor respectfully asks for the maiden’s parents’ approval.

Sylvia, has also shared some IG snap of their travel, as they rode a helicopter to Bulacan. Attached with the post is a caption that reads: “Off to a very important decision.”
Maine and Arjo started their romance in December 2018, when they were cast in “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles.” Several reports have it that the two will tie knot somewhere in Northern Luzon some time in July 2023.
