Vice Ganda has met another comedian, the one and only Michael V!
“The Unkabogable Star” Vice Ganda has wrapped up in a tweet some of his “best moments” during the GMA Gala 2023 held on Saturday, July 22, at Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
The 47-year-old comedian has taken to Twitter five things he enjoyed best as one of the Kapamilya invitees at the recently held ball.
Just a day after the event, Vice tweets: “My best moments at the GMA Gala,” followed by, first, his reunion with real-life, recently engaged couple, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque.
Vice also shares that he has taken pleasure hanging out with GMA-7’s GenZ friends, meeting Kapuso comedian Michael V., more known to showbiz as Bitoy and “Unang Hirit” host Lyn Ching who he later discovered is his neighbor.
Lastly, Vice lists Zeinab Harake and Toni Fowler—both internet personalities—and the two’s confirmed reconciliation during the event’s after-party.
The two social media celebrities have been in feud since October 2022 following a screenshot, publicized by vlogger and talent handler Wilbert Tolentino, about Zeinab’s ill-mouthing against Toni’s family.
“It’s Showtime” hosts are grateful
Vice and some of his “It’s Showtime” co-hosts, Anne Curtis, Jhong Hilario, and Vhong Navarro, had all attended the said event. Such is made possible by the fact that the Kapamilya-owned program “It’s Showtime” has transferred under GMA-7’s free-to-air channel, GTV.
During the interview, all four of them share how elated they are to be airing under GMA-7.
Vice begins: “We are very happy that we have a new home, GTV, and the GMA family has been very supportive, and we are very grateful for the support that they have been giving our showtime family and the Madlang Pipol.”
They were then asked how they are feeling now that they are invited to the gala.
Jhong points at the warm welcome that GMA-7 has extended towards them, while Vhong shares about how nervous he was at first and the accommodating gesture that Kapuso members have given them.
“Of course, we’re very grateful that we’re invited this evening. And for me, personally, I’m excited to meet new faces and faces I missed as well. So, I think it’s gonna be a very very fun and lovely evening,” says Anne Curtis.
As for Vice: “Sobrang nakaka-excite, yung excitement ko nga. Sobrang taas. Yung excitement naging tension, yung tension naging stress but in a good way.”
“Nakakatuwa to be able to meet all these wonderful people, to be able to see our friends again na hindi na namin nakikita, and to be able to mingle with them and party with them tonight,” he adds.
“It’s Showtime” has been running under GTV since July 1 following its decision to transfer from the Manny Pangilinan-owned network TV5.
