Barbie Forteza screams, “What’s up, Madlang Pipol?”
On Saturday, July 1, the Kapamilya comedian quote-retweeted a video of Barbie screaming the iconic greeting of “It’s Showtime”: “What’s up, Madlang Pipol?” It comes with a tweet that reads: “Bagay si Barbie sa Showtime. I love her vibe!”

“It’s Showtime” hosts welcome Barbie Forteza
It appears that Vice Ganda is not the only one who wants to work with Barbie, as “It’s Showtime” hosts Kim Chiu and Jugs Jugueta also expressed their enthusiasm with the Kapuso actress.
Kim retweeted Barbie’s tweet with a caption that reads: “Nice to finally meet you barbie.” In return, Barbie retweets: “Honored to have shared the dance floor with you po, Captain.”
Jugs, on the other hand, has seemingly teased the fans with Barbie’s possible appearance in the upcoming Monday, July 3, episode.
Barbie then replies with an eager “Waaahhh!!! Copy po eme.”
Barbie graced the debut episode of “It’s Showtime” on GMA-7’s free-to-air channel, GTV. She performed during the show’s opening number along with Kapamilya talents Kim Chiu, Alexa Ilacad, and Belle Mariano.
During the opening spiels of the program where they were individually introduced, Barbie had asked if she could greet the audience. After Vice’s nod to do so, she then went out to scream the “It’s Showtime” iconic line.
Netizens have agreed to the idea of Barbie getting a slot either as a guest host or a regular host, with some Twitter users pointing out how she matches the energy of the “It’s Showtime” hosts.
Starting July, the Kapamilya noontime show will run its regular course under GTV following an expired contract with its previous network, TV5.
Aside from Barbie, other Kapuso artists who welcomed “It’s Showtime” on GTV as guests were Sanya Lopez, Rayver Cruz, Rodjun Cruz, Mark Bautista, and Christian Bautista.
