Anji, known for her role as Kim Chiu’s sister in the series, addressed the backlash she received on social media, stating that she is not hurt by it and remains unbothered.

“I’m not closing my doors. I might do another musical if you want to kasi it’s an experience and an opportunity for me to learn,” she said in a Star Magic media conference. “Hindi ako na-trauma. Kung na-trauma ako, wala ako dito. Open na open.”

Aside from “Linlang,” Anji was also one of the major cast members of “Tabing Ilog: The Musical” staged late last year.

As for her next acting project, Anji emphasized that she’s not set to prove her bashers wrong. Instead, she aims to showcase an improved version of herself, focusing on constructive criticism rather than negative feedback.

“No matter what I’m going to do, the bashers will still hate me. It’s more of me. Ang totoong kalaban natin sa buhay ay ang sarili natin. I will fight my inner demons and punch them in the face,” Anji shared.

Reflecting on her “Linlang” experience, Anji acknowledged the challenges faced by the cast, including limited preparation time and delayed scripts during taping. Despite these hurdles, she views it as a valuable learning experience.

“We were given a short time to prepare, and the scripts were given late,” she said. “You have to act the character, and I knew that I wasn’t vulnerable much in ‘Linlang.’ I felt the vulnerability more when I trained for ‘Tabing Ilog’ musical, and it really helped. I’m doing workshops na.”

But now, Anji wants to focus on her singing career, saying, “It’s the very first dream I had since 2019 in ‘Idol Philippines.’ And this is it. I’m starting with ‘Grit,'” she shared.

“I want to push forward with my dream and I’m so excited to release new songs,” she added, referencing her EP “Grit,” released in February as a significant step forward in her musical journey.
