“24 Oras” Tops Most Watched Programs In The Philippines

GMA Integrated News proves to be the no. 1 news authority

News and current affairs program “24 Oras” of GMA Integrated News stands as the most watched television program from January to July 2023, based on data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement. 

The figures from Nielsen show a solid people rating of 14.9 percent across the Philippines, a favorable result accumulated from all its channels GMA, GTV, and I Heart Movies.

Such numbers cover the program’s airing starting January 1st until July 31st of 2023. 

More so, the program, including its weekend airing, has seen a total of 84 percent (65 million viewers) in net reach across all channels, proving itself  to be the leading news authority in terms of breaking news, stories, and events in the Philippines and abroad.  

The team that frontlines fair journalism 

Veteran journalists Mel Tiangco, Vicky Morales, and Emil Sumangil anchor “24 Oras” weekday airing while “24 Oras Weekend” is headlined by Ivan Mayrina and Pia Arcangel.

Balancing out information and entertainment is Iya Villania’s segment “Chika Minute,” which provides a run-down of happenings and updates in the showbiz industry. 

Kim Atienza’s “KuyaKimAnoNa” segment has been aiding the program in providing extensive coverage about science and environment. Supplemental to this is the recently launched “GMA Integrated News Weather Center,” led by Maureen Schrijvers. 

“Game Changer” is the newest addition to its roster—a recently launched segment that focuses on the latest trends in sports, lifestyle, technology, and fitness. It is currently led by GMA Synergy sportscaster Martin Javier.
