The group initially consisted of 10 members
Cube Entertainment, the agency for the popular K-pop boy group PENTAGON, has announced the departure of five members, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok, from the group.
The news came a day before PENTAGON’s seventh anniversary, marking the group’s debut on October 10, 2016. With this development, only Hui, Jinho, Hongseok, and Shinwon remain under Cube Entertainment.
Cube Entertainment confirmed this development. PENTAGON is originally composed of 10 members.
The agency emphasized that this decision followed in-depth discussions with the members. In a statement, Cube Entertainment expressed its gratitude to the departing members for their seven-year journey together. The agency wished them success in their future endeavors. They also requested continuous support from fans as these five individuals venture into new chapters in their careers.

Soompi translated the statement saying the company had “sincere conversations with the members over an extended period of time. We’d like to express our deep gratitude to Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok who have been with us on this long journey of seven years, and we wish them nothing but happiness in their future endeavors.”

Although the agency didn’t outline specific plans for PENTAGON’s group activities, members Yeo One, Kino, and Hongseok debunked disbandment rumors.
Yeo One took to his personal Instagram to share a heartfelt letter expressing his gratitude to PENTAGON fans. He reassured fans that, despite parting ways with Cube Entertainment, he will continue standing beside the fan base, known as UNIVERSE, as a member of PENTAGON.

Kino and Hongseok joined the affirmation, sharing group photos on their Instagram stories. They captioned these images with “PENTAGON never dies” and “I was always there and I’ll always be there.”
