An ‘Among Us’ Animated Series Is In The Works

What do you think will the “Among Us” animated series look like?

CBS Studios is developing an animated series based on the popular game “Among Us.”

According to Variety, the series will be in collaboration with Innersloth, the independent game studio behind the game.

Under his deal with CBS Studios, Owen Dennis will serve as the creator and executive producer of the series. The animation studio Titmouse, known for shows like “Big Mouth” and “Star Trek: Lower Decks,” will be responsible for the animation.

The series will stay true to the game’s premise. It involves crew members being replaced by an alien shapeshifter aiming to sabotage the ship and eliminate everyone.

The logline states, “Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.” While no specific network or streaming platform has been attached to the project as of this writing, discussions are said to be ongoing.

The collaboration between CBS Eye Animation Productions and Innersloth with executive producers Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser from Innersloth, along with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina from Titmouse, promises an exciting development for the animated series.

Although it was first launched in 2018, “Among Us” gained immense popularity in 2020 during the pandemic. The game topped the charts in various countries. It garnered millions of active users, YouTube views, and significant Twitch viewership.

Owen Dennis, known for creating the Cartoon Network series “Infinity Train,” brings his expertise to the project. He worked on “Regular Show” as a writer and storyboard artist. UTA, Industry Entertainment, and Yorn Levine Barnes represent Dennis. Big Pigeon represents Innersloth for film and TV.
