Andi Eigenmann Releases Statement Amid Mother Jaclyn Jose’s Passing

Andi: ““She, herself. Her life, itself, is her greatest obra maestra”

Jaclyn Jose’s daughter—Andi Eigenmann—revealed further details of her mother’s death in a press conference on Monday, March 4, 2024.

Andi shares that her mother passed away on March 2, 2024—two days before being publicly pronounced dead—due to myocardial infarction commonly known as heart attack.

Speaking in front of the press, Andi shares, “It is with great sadness that I announce the untimely passing of my nanay, Mary Jane Guck, better known as Jaclyn Jose.

“At the age of 60, on the morning of March 2nd, 2024, due to a myocardial infarction or heart attack.

“We’d like to thank everyone who has since extended their prayers and condolences to us.

“As our family is trying to come to terms with this unfortunate incident, please provide us the respect and privacy to grieve, and we hope this would put all the speculations to rest.“

Andi has also paid her mother due respects, especially for her “undeniable legacy” as one of the pillars of the Philippine entertainment industry.

She shares, “I just like to say that her undeniable legacy will definitely forever live on through her work, through her children, and the many lives she touched.

“She, herself. Her life, itself, is her greatest obra maestra.”

Jaclyn’s passing was initially confirmed by her talent management PPL Entertainment through a social media post.

The veteran actress stands as one of the household names in local showbiz—cemented well by her merit from Cannes Film Festival 2016, wherein she won Best Actress for her important portrayal in Brillante Mendoza’s “Ma’ Rosa.”
