Andrea Brillantes has some solid advice on how to best move on from an ex
Actress Andrea Brillantes landed on the top trending topics anew on Monday, July 17, 2023, following her statements allegedly alluding to her ex-boyfriend Ricci Rivero on Vice Ganda’s latest vlog.
The vlog, which as of this writing has 4 million views and counting, features Andrea being interviewed by Vice regarding being part of the Gen Z generation.
But things started heating up when the conversation touched on breakups.
Recall that Andrea recently made headlines due to her highly publicized breakup with the basketball player.

When asked by Vice if the she has asked for her gifts to be returned after a breakup, Andrea said, “Kapag kinuha ko kasi sa kanya lahat ng binigay ko sa kanya, wala na siyang gamit sa condo niya. Hindi ko gagawin yun.”
While she did not categorically name Ricci to be the said ex, previous reports noted that the reason for their split was that Andrea allegedly saw a naked woman inside his room, a detail which he vehemently refutes.

But what does she plan to do with the gifts given to her by her ex?
“Balak kong i-sangla kasi parang hindi ko na nakikita yung sarili ko na susuotin yun,” she candidly said.
The “Drag You & Me” star has a very practical reason for doing such.
“Ay, magkakapera pa ako doon kung ibebenta ko. May pang-shopping pa ako,” she said.
Andrea added, “Bakit ko naman ibabalik sa kanya? E, ang gagawin lang naman din niya, e, ibibigay nya lang din naman sa iba ‘yun, e.”
Andrea on moving on
After all that has happened, Andrea admitted that she did feel shattered after that breakup.
“Ito, in fairness sa kanya, nag-one month siya, nag-one month talaga akong nalungkot at saka hinayaan ko talagang maging malungkot ako, iyak talaga ako, sa one month na ‘yung parang lahat ng stages ng acceptance, naranasan ko,” Andrea said.
But while she is now in a better place, Andrea has some snarky advice for those who are having a tough time letting go.
“Minsan, kung hirap kang mag-move on, kailangan mo talagang isipin ‘yung mga bagay na, ‘Talaga ba, iiyakan ko ‘yung lalaki na hindi naman nagpapa-laundry ng isang taon?’ Ganun,” she said.
On a serious note, she explained that after all the smoke clears and after going through all the phases the person is not so special after all.
“‘Yung pagmamahal ko pala ang nagpa-special doon sa tao,” she said.
