Anne responds, ” I was born and blessed with these lips”
Anne Curtis did not let a hate speech rain on her parade, as she hits back at a basher who called her “papansin” and “big lips.”
Despite having jetlag from the Paris Fashion Week, the 38-year-old celebrity still took her high spirits on X (formerly Twitter) to ask, “Are peeps still awake at this hour?”
To confirm Anne’s question stamped at 10:58 p.m., netizens then flocked in to reply that they were actually awake despite being late.
While there was a surge of elated responses, one netizen found Anne’s query to be “ medyo papansin.” All the more, the user went low to attack Anne’s famous facial feature—her lips.
It reads (published as is): “MEDYO PAPANSIN TONG BIG LIPS NA TO. KULANG NALANG IPA SURGEON MO YANG BUNGANGA.”
In return, Anne responds with, “Hindi ko kailangan ng surgeon or any doctor dahil I was born and blessed with these lips or bunganga as you say. [kiss emoji]”
Anne’s fans were quick to defend her, with some users even reporting the account.
One X user says (published as is), “Nalakaloka ka. Nagtanong lang sya kung may gising pa. Tapos punong puno ka ng galet agad. Pacheck up ka, ikaw ang tingen kong may kailangan ng doctor.”
Another tweet reads (published as is), “Teh minsan na nga lang magtwitter yan anong papansin don?”
As of writing, the basher’s account was put on private and the tweet has long been deleted since the backlash.
