Netizens expressed their joy that Bea Alonzo has finally found “The One”
Bea Alonzo shocked many, in a good way, after revealing that her longtime boyfriend Dominic Roque has already proposed to her on July 18, 2023.
The actress’ Instagram announcement prompted her to land among the top trending topics on Twitter including the tag “Bea and Dom” with netizens expressing their joy that she has finally found “The One.”
Like a scene in the movies, Bea shared that she didn’t see Dominic’s sunset proposal coming.
“It was a balmy afternoon in Las Casas. I was there for a shoot, but little did I know that the next thing that would happen would change our lives forever,” she wrote.
The Kapuso actress, who is known for portraying the iconic roles of Basha in “One More Chance,” Roberta in “4 Sisters And A Wedding,” Betty in “I Love Betty La Fea,” and Jackie in “Maging Sino Ka Man,” among others, couldn’t help but wax nostalgic about her own engagement.
“You see, I have done so many proposal scenes in my entire career, but nothing beats the real thing. I have been doing it all wrong! Hahaha, Dom said his speech, and it’s like time stood still. Everything went in slow motion. And I felt different emotions all at the same time—joy, excitement, love,” she said.
Bea ended her heartfelt post by saying that she and Dominic have “decided on forever” in front of their loved ones.
Outpour of congratulations
Apart from the couple, some of their friends and colleagues were also overjoyed that they will be tying the knot soon.
Among them, Phenomenal Star Vice Ganda who wrote, “Yahoooooooo!!!! Mga bata ko yan o!!!!! I’m very happy for u and Dom! Congratulations! Love u both!”
Then there’s also Anne Curtis who said, “Omg!!!!! Bei and Dom!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!”
Dominic’s aunt, Beth Tamayo also didn’t miss the moment and commented, “Praise God! Congrats lovies! Love yah!”
Bea and Dominic’s former Kapamilya co-stars Maja Salvador, Angelica Panganiban, Jericho Rosales, and Charo Santos also congratulated the couple, along with Maymay Entrata, Barbie Imperial, Ellen Adarna, Iza Calzado, Aga Muhlach, Charlene Gonzales, Ivana Alawi, Coleen Garcia, Miles Ocampo, and director Erik Matti.
Meanwhile, Bea’s Kapuso co-stars led by Maine Mendoza, Pauleen Sotto, Rayver Cruz, Iya Villania, Rocco Nacino, and Carla Abellana likewise offered their best wishes for the couple.
Recall that the couple made headlines last month after speculations that they are already engaged and started making rounds because of Dominic’s certain post.
Bea confirmed her relationship with Dominic in August 2021 after exclusively seeing each other since January of the same year. The celebrity couple marked their second anniversary last January 28, 2023.
